Plagiarism Policy and Similarity Check

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and similarity using iThenticate before being sent for peer review. The editorial team ensures that all content meets the journal’s originality standards and complies with publication ethics.

iThenticate Screening Process

  • Each manuscript is checked through the iThenticate system against published literature, online sources, and previous submissions.
  • The editors review the generated similarity report to identify any overlap or unoriginal content.
  • Minor overlap from references or standard phrases is acceptable, but copied or paraphrased text without proper citation is considered plagiarism.

Acceptable Similarity Index

  • The acceptable overall similarity index is below 20%.
  • Single-source similarity should not exceed 5%.
  • Properly cited quotations and references are excluded from the similarity percentage but must be used sparingly.
  • Self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.

Editorial Action

  • Manuscripts exceeding 20% similarity will be returned to the author for revision before review.
  • Submissions showing serious plagiarism or duplicate publication will be rejected immediately.
  • Authors with repeated plagiarism may be blacklisted from future submissions.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that their work is original, properly cited, and has not been previously published elsewhere. Authors are encouraged to use iThenticate or a similar tool for self-checking before submission to ensure compliance.
