Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by any other journal.
  • All sources used in the research must be properly acknowledged and cited.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of figures is strictly prohibited.
  • Authors must accurately present their methods and findings to allow reproducibility of results.
  • All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and agree to the final version of the paper.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be declared at the time of submission.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary ethical approvals (e.g., for experiments involving humans or animals).

Duties of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for maintaining the academic integrity of the journal and ensuring the quality of published papers.
  • Editors make publication decisions based on the manuscript’s originality, significance, and scientific quality, without bias regarding race, gender, institutional affiliation, or nationality.
  • Confidentiality must be maintained for all submissions during the review process.
  • Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research.
  • In case of ethical concerns, editors will follow COPE guidelines to investigate and resolve the issue.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining publication quality through objective and constructive feedback.
  • They must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
  • Reviews should be conducted impartially, focusing on the scholarly merits of the work.
  • Reviewers must identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
  • Reviewers must not use the information gained during peer review for personal advantage.
  • Conflicts of interest (personal, professional, or financial) should be disclosed, and reviewers should decline to review when such conflicts exist.

Publisher’s Responsibilities

  • The publisher ensures that ethical and academic standards are upheld throughout the publication process.
  • The publisher supports the editorial board in following COPE’s Code of Conduct and addressing misconduct appropriately.
  • In cases of proven misconduct or errors, the publisher will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as necessary.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using iThenticate. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or unethical practices will be rejected immediately. Repeated misconduct may lead to blacklisting of the author(s).

By submitting a manuscript to JSEA, authors agree to abide by the journal’s publication ethics policy and to cooperate fully in any investigation of ethical concerns.
