Abstract

Concrete is the material that has the greatest versatility and widespread use in construction
 worldwide.
The durability of concrete structures has become a major concern in recent years  . Particularly in
environments with high levels of aggression. Traditionally, a large number of natural and  Chemical
admixtures are used to enhance concrete's properties.
In  the majority of concrete failures are caused by mistakes in material design and installation .
workmanship, environmental impact, usage, and poor maintenance strategy are all factors to consider.
The durability  of concrete can be influenced by a range of physical and chemical factors. Relevant
choice of Concrete's strength and durability can be improved by adding admixture .
The purpose of this paper is to review the literature of several published studies on the impact of
chemicals aggression to reinforced concrete structures.
